No matter which path you choose, you'll receive education grounded in authentic Classical Pilates, with a focus on quality instruction, purposeful movement, and preserving the integrity of the method.

In-Person Classical Pilates Teacher Training

Authentic Pilates Canada (APC) offers immersive in-person teacher training seminars at Precision Pilates Studios in Halifax and Fredericton. Programs range from Mat and Reformer to the full Comprehensive training across the complete range of classical apparatus: Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair, Barrels, Mat and more. Ideal for those who want real-time correction, hands-on mentorship, and the depth that only comes from training in a fully equipped classical studio.

Online Classical and Contemporary Pilates Teacher Training

LEAD is a flexible online platform offering structured Mat and Reformer teacher training programs. Learn through on-demand video instruction, interactive course content, and live apprentice meetings -- on your schedule, from anywhere. Programs progress through three sequential levels in Mat and Reformer, with a dedicated Anatomy course developed by kinesiologists and clinical exercise physiologists. Ideal for instructors who need flexibility without compromising on depth.

"I completed the Comprehensive Teacher Training Program in 2015 and have since watched new candidates thrive. APC’s focus on Classical Pilates, small classes, and hands-on instruction creates confident, competent teachers. The hours are demanding, but finishing the program was a proud and rewarding accomplishment."

Interactive Learning

We believe the best education comes from real people—not just prerecorded videos. Whether you're training in person or online, you'll receive personalized support from experienced instructors. Your movement and teaching will be assessed by a real person, you'll have opportunities to ask questions, receive feedback, and participate in guided workouts and lessons designed to help you grow into a confident Classical Pilates instructor.

Comprehensive Learning Modules

Our teacher training programs are carefully organized into manageable, easy-to-follow modules, allowing you to build your skills and confidence one step at a time. Whether you learn in person or online, you'll have access to a rich learning experience that includes instructional and demonstration videos, detailed manuals, interactive discussions, practical assignments, guided workouts, and ongoing support.

Every module is taught by passionate Classical Pilates educators with years of real-world teaching experience, giving you the knowledge, confidence, and mentorship to become an exceptional instructor.

Practicum: Theory Meets Practice

Learning doesn't end when the lesson is over. Our practicum is designed to help you put your knowledge into action through observation, self-practice, practice teaching, and real-world experience.

With experienced mentors supporting you every step of the way, you'll receive ongoing guidance and personalized feedback to build your confidence, refine your teaching skills, and prepare you for a successful career teaching Classical Pilates.
